1619 (NH) Parish Register: baptised Robert, son of Robert Gibbs.

1620 (NH) Lenten Recognisances, Wilts [P.R.O: E180/45 No. 189] March 8 "Robert Gibbs of
          Charnham Street, alehouse keeper. Sureties John Purton and William Ivyn, both of the
          same, alehouse keepers."

          Charnham Street, alehouse keeper. Sureties John Purton and Robert Gibbs, both of the
          same, alehouse keepers."

1623 (NH) Parish Register: baptised Thomas, son of Robert Gibbs.

1630 (NH) P.R: 5 November, buried a stranger who died at Robert Gybbs'.

1630 (NH) B.T:  buried a stranger who died at the Phoenix, [not in H.C.B.]

1630 In "The Coaching Life" by Harry Hanson, [Manchester University press, 1983), "The
          Phoenix" is mentioned as an inn in Charnham Street in 1630, the landlord being
          Robert Gybbs.

Northing more is yet known of this hostelry.
